TubeTrail ("we", "our", or "us") is designed to help you explore the world through YouTube videos. We are transparent about what data we collect and how it is used.
1. Data Collection & Usage

2. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how you use TubeTrail and improve the app experience. This includes:
- Search Queries: What you search for (truncated to 100 characters for privacy).
- Screen Views: Which screens and features you use.
- Video Interactions: Which videos you play and how you interact with content.
- Trail Activity: When you create or modify your saved collections.
All analytics data is anonymized and not linked to your identity. You can disable analytics collection in the app's Settings > Privacy & Security.
3. Advertising & Third-Party Services
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. To provide this service, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or share:
- Coarse Location: To provide relevant local ads.
- Device Identifiers: To limit ad repetition and detect fraud.
- Usage Data: Ad interactions and performance metrics.
- Diagnostics: Crash reports related to the ad SDK.
You can manage your ad tracking preferences via the iOS "Allow App to Request to Track" prompt or in system Settings.
4. Your Rights & Choices
- Analytics: You can disable analytics collection in Settings > Privacy & Security within the app.
- Location: You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings. The app will default to a global view.
- Tracking: You can decline App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Ads will still be shown but will be less relevant.
- Ad Consent (EU): Users in the European Economic Area can manage ad personalization preferences via the consent form in Settings > Privacy & Security.
5. Children's Privacy
TubeTrail is rated 12+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us for immediate deletion.
